About Lilianna

Singing brings me joy, gentleness, and enthusiasm for life. I am a multi instrumentalist, song writer, song catcher, song carrier, and song leader. I also bring 26+ years of inspiring young musicians in schools into my singing circles. With a degree in Ethnomusicology and travels to South Africa, Ghana, and Bali to study music and the culture of music, I share a love of multicultural songs and music with the groups that I lead and I hold a tenderness for the connection of song and culture. Presently, I am diving into deep spiritual practices, led by Shaman Puma in Peru, around building altars and creating rituals to honor the Earth, the moon and phases of the sun.

I am currently co-leading two song circles with graduates of Heather Houston’s Sisters in Harmony song leader training. Sister’s in Harmony, Marin, which I lead with Barbara Juniper, is located in San Rafael and is held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month. Songshine is a monthly songcircle in Kensington, CA, which I lead with Eileen Hazel.

Moon Serenade is a song circle combined with ritual to celebrate the moon and honor our Earth Mother.
